Valio, a company with over 112 years of tradition, is the biggest dairy company in Finland and known for its high-quality consumer products. The company has 15 factories in Finland and abroad and exports its products to 60 countries around the world. Because it is still owned by the very farmers who produce milk, Valio is focusing on sustainable farming. In 1945, the laboratory lead at Valio, A.I. Virtanen was awarded with the Nobel prize for chemistry. In the spirit of A.I. Virtanen, Valio has developed a lot of the technologies used in dairy products worldwide, such as the lactose free products. Currently Valio has in its offer e.g. premium butter and cheese, as well as milk, yoghurts or healthy protein snacks.
