For the sixth time, the M+G agency has partnered with the Nationwide Investor Survey project, carried out under the auspices of the Association of Individual Investors (SII) for 13 years. The aim of the survey is to create a profile of individual investors in Poland and to understand their needs and preferences when making investment decisions.
The results of the report published in October 2015 show that the average Polish investor is a 38-year-old man with a university degree, active on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) for approximately 7 years, managing a portfolio worth up to 30,000 PLN, which includes shares of 8 or more companies. The most important sources of information for him are, in order: periodic and current company reports, online services, company websites, analyst reports and commentary, newspapers, and television programs.
In the first half of 2015, individual investors accounted for 12% of trading on the Main Market of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and 79% on the NewConnect market.
